Something that I have discovered in the past 12 months or so is that different Sonubaits pellets seem to help me catch different sizes of fish.

For example, the new Sonubaits F1 Soft Hooker Pellets are brilliant when it comes to proper carp, F1s and skimmers up to 2lb.
But I have also found that if I want to catch bigger carp then the Sonubaits Fin Perfect 6mm hard feed pellets, presented banded on the pole or the tip, seem to catch me fish of 2lb upwards.
The great thing about the F1 Soft Hooker Pellets is that you can experiment on the day to find out what size the fish want. There are three sizes in the range, 4mm, 6mm and 8mm, and the fibrous, soft consistency of the F1 pellets means they stay on the hook cast after cast when used on the waggler or feeder.
The fact they stay on the hook also helps when pellet fishing on the pole, because from my experience, anglers lack confidence that a standard expander pellet has stayed put on the hook after they have lifted to try to connect with a bite.
