For several months I have been working on a brand-new Method mix for commercial venues and from March you will be able to get your hands on the new Sonu Baits' Match Method groundbait at your local stockist.

I wanted to create a Method Mix that was fine in texture, attractive to fish but one that also stuck to the feeder for that little bit longer.
Larford's Specimen Lake is one of my favourite venues for Method feeder work, but for the Specimen Lake, where you can be casting distances of up to 70 yards and into depths up to 12 feet, you need a mix that can stay the distance!
Having said that, the Match Method mix is quite versatile, so it can also be used on shallower venues.
To my mind, when Method feeder fishing, I want a groundbait that melts on the outside but still has a firm core stuck to the feeder frame. This attracts carp to come to the feeder.
And when they start to compete with one another, one makes the mistake of sucking in the hookbait and then it is game on!
I also like my Method feeder mix to be such that when I retrieve the feeder, there is still some groundbait lodged within the rails on the feeder.
This tells me that the groundbait is behaving properly.
