One of the best products to hit the fishing tackle shops in the past few weeks has to be Sonu's fantastic Stiki Pellet powder and I'm going to explain how to get the most out of it for mixing pellets to mould to a Method feeder.
The research and development team at Sonu spent 12 months perfecting Stiki Pellet and I've got to say the end result is spot-on.
The tub that Stiki Pellet comes in contains a spoon for mixing the powder with water and the recommended levels are 10 spoons of water to one spoon of Stiki Pellet. Mix these together then pour over a bag of Sonu Fin Perfect Feed Pellets. After half-an-hour give the pellets a brisk stir with your fingers to spread the moisture through them and after another five minutes the pellets are perfect for moulding on to a method feeder.
When mixed like this the pellets will stay on a feeder cast tight to an island in shallow water.
However, if you want to cast into deeper water and may have to wait a while for a bite, you need the pellets to stay on the feeder for longer.
This is what I have found works. Simply wet your hand and rub it through the pellets you have already used the Sticki Pellet on. Now add a further half a spoon of Stiki Pellet and after a couple of minutes you have a mix that will stick to a method feeder and stay in situ for several minutes, usually enough in the summer months for a carp to find the feeder.
I used Stiki Pellet recently to win the five day Lindholme Festival. I used the Method feeder most days and the mixing ratios described here worked a treat for me.
Give Sonubaits Stiki Pellet a try. You won't regret it.
