I don't know if you have had a chance to try out the new P-Mix groundbait from Sonubaits, but I have when I fished down on the Van Den Eynde Festival at White Acres, and it helped me to a final position of fifth overall.
On this particular festival, the use of pellets in any way, shape or form is banned, and a lot of the regulars down there are in the habit of filling an open end feeder with hemp and plugging the ends with liquidised luncheon meat.
But what I did instead was fill the feeder with hemp and then plug the ends with P-Mix, which has a high percentage of hemp in its make-up. I had a great day on the match lake at White Acres, winning my section with 83lb of carp, most of them coming to the feeder and hair-rigged meat combo, with P-Mix being used to deliver the feeder full of hemp to the exact spot I was fishing.
What I like about P-Mix from these initial tests, is how versatile it is. You can't really go wrong when you mix it and it can be used as a dryish mix or on the sticky side. In fact, I reckon that mixed on the wetter side, you will be able to introduce a lot of particles such as dead maggots or casters, and I reckon it will be spot-on for the big waggler and groundbait approach on carp venues. All you need to do is give it a squeeze and, becauyse of the fine graded particles, it holds together and binds superbly.
It is certainly a great feeder groundbait and even on hard sections where roach are the target, I know it will help to gain you extra bites because of the hemp content.
P-Mix is sold in two kilo bags and costs £4.99 per bag. That offers real value for money as most groundbait sells in one kilo bags.
Check it out - you won't be disappointed.
