I have been extremely busy with my guiding since the season started, visiting the Rivers Teme and the Wye has led to some great days out meeting new people and generally helping them catch plenty of fish.

Sonubaits gear has been catching loads of fish on our trips with the mighty S-pellet in its various forms scoring heavily.

The Hemp and Hali crush groundbait is a revelation to those who have not used it before. Pack an open-ended feeder with it and a few pellets and the barbel home in like Exocet missiles.

Just last week I was out with one of my customers on a dirty brown River Wye, out went the feeders filled with Hemp and Hali with a juicy Tuff 1S-pellet on the hook and in came the barbel all 14 of them, “Happy Days” indeed.
Talking of the Wye is this the most beautiful barbel river in the UK? A question I ask myself every time I visit that is until I go on the lovely Teme when I ask myself the same question.
