At the weekend (Sat & Sun 5 & 6th July) I fished Makins Lake 4 on Phase 1. On Saturday I pleasure fished peg 25 using the pellet method with 6mm Monster Crab & Mussel S Pellets. During the 6 hour practice session I had 27 carp to around 7lb.

The next day I fished a match on Lake 4 & drew peg 6 on the opposite bank. In the match I caught 20 carp for 112lb finishing 2nd. Most of these came to 6mm Monster Crab & Mussel S Pellets on the pellet method with a late switch to the margin on paste for 4 lumps in the last 45 minutes. In my opinion, these are a perfect pellet to compliment the type of pellets we must use at Makins & I have 100% confidence in them when fishing the pellet method ! Not to mention they are a superb bait for fishing up in the water on the pole using 6mm or 8mm. So I always carry a range of the Sonubaits with me as they put fish on the bank.
