spacer Nows the Time for the Pellet Feeder - Andy Findlay   20 OCTOBER 2010
spacer spacer spacer

With temperatures starting to dip, and chilly nights becoming the autumn norm, anglers would be wise to think about adopting the pellet feeder as a crucial part of their angling armoury - and a crucial part of the equation is a bagful of Sonubait's Fin Perfect 2mm Feed Pellets.

These pellets are great for the pellet feeder because they have a springy consistency which means they expand and pop out of the pellet feeder, right next to the hookbait. And when the water cools and fish slow down and eat less, this kind of pinpoint presentation can generally guarantee as few extra bites.

So how do you ensure those Sonu Fin Perfect 2mm pellets are just right?
Follow my simple instructions and you'll end up with perfect pellets every time.
Step One: Tip an amount of 2mm Fin Perfect Pellets into a big bait tub and cover with water.
Step Two: Leave them in the water for up to five minutes.

Step Three: Drain off the excess water and leave the pellets for 10 to 15 minutes. Now they should be ready.

How do you know when the Fin Perfect feed pellets are spot-on? Simple. Put some in the pellet feeder and squeeze them in hard. If no water comes out of the pellets you know you've got them right.

Now tie on a short hooklength of around three inches long, using 0.15mm or 0.17mm Preston Powerline, and try a PR36 hook with a hair-rigged pellet. This winter for the first time, there is a size 20 PR36 in the Preston hook range, so that should also ensure a few extra bites.

So the message is simple. Get on the pellet feeder, available through Preston Innovations from all good stockists, and catch your share this autumn.
