Ade has been an angler for over 35 years, in the early days he served his angling apprenticeship on the Norfolk Broads under the watchful eye of his father.
After a few years as a successful match angler he turned to the specimen scene in search of more peaceful surroundings, he caught his first Barbel in 1984 and has been hooked ever since. Equally at home on the big rivers like the Severn and Trent as he is on the smaller more intimate rivers such as the Wensum and Teme, Ade has landed over 2000 Barbel in the last few years.
Ade runs his own website, teambarbel.co.uk and can often be seen around the country giving talks and presentations to angling clubs. As an experienced angling Coach Ade has guided many anglers to fulfil the challenge of catching their first or biggest ever Barbel.
